This is an independent rebuild of the SEEDS web presence, consolidated onto a single domain. The front door, the knowledge commons, the Library and the archive all come together here as one site rather than four.
It exists because the published SEEDS story stopped in 2021 while the ecosystem carried on — through a collapse, four years of hibernation, and the relaunch discussions now under way. A timeline that ends at the last good year is not a neutral omission; it is the kind of gap that lets people form the wrong impression of what they are joining.
Where the facts come from
Everything factual on this site is drawn from the ecosystem's own records, and the significant sources are named where they are used:
- The development roadmap SEEDS published for 2017–2021, preserved in the archive
- The SEEDS 3.0 relaunch roadmap, dated 26 November 2025 and marked a discussion draft by its own authors
- The token reallocation proposal (the 21 September 2021 record date and the value history)
- The SEEDS reboot whitepaper, drafted 2025 and circulated for review
- The constitutional, alliance, economic and onboarding documents reproduced in the archive
Where sources disagree, the discrepancy is stated rather than resolved silently — one relaunch draft records 85 countries where the published figure was 88, and both appear on the archive page.
What is written rather than reproduced
The explanatory copy on these pages was written for this site. The three essays in the Library marked Written for this site were composed for these pages; the rest of the Library is the movement’s own writing, migrated here in full under each author’s name. The documents in the archive are the ecosystem's own PDFs, reproduced unaltered.
Buttons and forms here are demonstrations. The pitch form in the Library is not connected to anything, and nothing typed into this site leaves your browser.
Scope of this site
Figures on this site carry the date they were measured. Where a document is a draft rather than an adopted decision, it is labelled as one. Where sources disagree, the discrepancy is stated rather than resolved silently.
Not an offer, not advice. SEEDS is not offering an investment on this website, no target value or projected return for Seeds is published here, and nothing on these pages is financial advice. If you are considering putting money into anything connected to SEEDS, take independent advice first.
Constitution summary
SEEDS organises itself around a member-written constitution. Three documents matter, and they are not interchangeable:
Version 1.0 — published, in force through the launch years. Drafted across five open assemblies beginning on Earth Day 2020 and finalised on 10 July 2021. This is the only version whose full text is available on this site, in the archive. It defines the values, member rights, the Visitor–Resident–Citizen structure and the governance protocols of that period.
Version 2.0 — ratified, text not published here. Completed and ratified by the SEEDS Collaboratory DAO during the hibernation years. That it exists and was ratified is recorded in the ecosystem's own accounts; its text is not reproduced on this site, and that is a gap worth closing.
A third version — in draft, circulated for discussion. The clauses below are its proposed language. They are not ratified law, and they are quoted here because they are the sharpest available statement of where the ecosystem says it is heading.
From the draft, in its own terms:
One human, one account, one vote. Every verified human has the right to one account, and to propose, discuss and vote on matters affecting SEEDS. Voice tokens and voting rights stay unrelated to any capital anyone contributes.
Decentralisation as an obligation with an end state. Everyone holding curation access commits to develop decentralised, collective governance — and to drop all rights to make changes to SEEDS as soon as that is fulfilled. Anyone with curation access can be outvoted out of it.
Transparency about money. Capital agreements, flows and balances to be disclosed via public accounting. Any financial return to be capped, paid only from designated surplus, and never to compromise core services or contributor rewards.
Running through all three versions is the same shape of membership: Visitor, Resident, Citizen, with thresholds made of participation, vouching and time rather than capital. The exact 2021 criteria are on the Take Part page.
Privacy
This site collects nothing. There are no analytics scripts, no cookies and no tracking pixels, and every asset — fonts and images included — is served from this project.
The one exception is film. Where a Library piece has a video in it, that video is embedded from YouTube’s no-cookie domain and loads only when the page containing it is opened.
Anything you type into a form on this site stays in your browser tab and disappears when you close it. Forms compose text for you to copy; they send nothing.
Links that leave the site are marked with their destination. Following one takes you to a third party with its own privacy practices.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, it is worth fixing rather than defending. The known gaps are listed openly on the pages they affect: the 2022–2024 record is thin, the State of SEEDS annual reports are not yet linked, the constitutional assembly recordings are not yet linked, the ratified Constitution 2.0 text is not published here, the draft third version is not published here either, and outcomes from 2026 onwards have not been written up.
